New assets, camera and render pipeline
This project has been in progress in one form or another since December 2018 (albeit paused, binned, rewritten entirely, shelved again, and so on, since then), I spent a few days revisiting the look and trying to add more visual interest.
In order to do this I switched to Unity’s Universal render pipeline to achieve the same camera draw depth, while also adding some background star-field elements, to add a parallax effect.
I also altered the assets used, to switch the generic red dots with a random array of asteroids, and the “green dot” goal with a star-field particle effect to represent the “vortex”.
The difficulty settings have also been further refined, and hopefully this should make the game that bit more polished.
So far the update is only built for Android, other builds will follow, but as always the game is aimed at mobile play.
